Dr. Jennifer Kraus Awarded SDBJ’s Women Of Influence: 50 Over 50 2021

Source Intelligence’s Co-Founder recognized for dedication to sustainability and leadership 

Dr. Jennifer Kraus, Source Intelligence’s Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Founder, is a successful leader who values innovation, commitment, and diversity. As someone dedicated to equity, sustainability, and professional women’s leadership, it’s no surprise she has proved an inspiration to many. She has trained and mentored dozens of young professionals to become our future sustainability leaders and now leads Source Intelligence’s online learning platform, Source Academy. 

The San Diego Business Journal (SDBJ) selected Dr. Jennifer Kraus, as one of the honorees for the Women of Influence: 50 Over 50 2021 Award. This award receives a large volume of nominations for women over 50 who are making substantial contributions to their fields and their communities.

Dr. Kraus co-founded Source Intelligence, a successful multimillion-dollar business in San Diego that uses science and technology to tackle complex supply chain compliance and transparency issues for Fortune 500 companies. Her businesses have employed San Diegans and improved the environmental, health, safety, and sustainability of local businesses, municipalities, and organizations worldwide. 

The Clinton Administration appointed Dr. Kraus to the Good Neighbor Environmental Board, a congressional advisory committee on US-Mexico border environmental and infrastructure issues. The Schwarzenegger administration appointed her to the San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board. She received a service award from the San Diego Industrial Environmental Association; was honored in San Diego River Conservancy Resolution No 05-27; and received the 2015 Gold Stevie Award, Female Executive of the Year, Business Services, 11-2,500 Employees. 

Dr. Kraus volunteers on projects supporting the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) mission of historic preservation, education, and patriotism. She is the NSDAR San Diego Chapter Registrar.
